RB Leipzig have reportedly made contact with Liverpool regarding a move for Harvey Elliott, with Xavi Simons anticipated to leave for Chelsea.
Simons, 22, notified the German club of his intention to leave earlier in the summer and has since been in talks over a move to Chelsea.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, RB Leipzig have reached out to Liverpool regarding the availability of Elliott.
It was previously reported that Liverpool were open to selling the attacking midfielder this summer, valuing him at £40million plus a purchase-support option, or above £50m without one.
Elliott started just two Premier League matches for Liverpool last season, with both of them coming after the title was won.
